Tatti.co.uk is an online boutique where you can find limited runs of products by some of Britain's most talented independent deisgners. We were set a brief by Newcastle design agency onebestway (the designers of the actual site). The brief was to produce web designs for the brand using the brief that they were set themselves a few months earlier. The exercise was to see how we would interpret the brief before the site actually went live. We had to consider the functionality and usability of the site and had to investigate the notion of the e-commerce element of the site. We had to use the existing branding and find our own images to represent the actual content.
A contemporary and stylish site that draws upon the branding and delivers the information in a clean and consistant manner. I made the most of the blocky and angular logo by producing a silhouette theme in the background and also in the header bannners. On this project I worked alongside Tim Walker. Tim built 5 pages of the site that I had designed. These pages and mounted designs were presented to the "client" (onebestway), as were the designs of three other groups. Our designs were identified as the ones that the agency would have chosen had they been the client. Our prize, a gnome with a wobbly head called Tatti, of course.
